Sculptra® in New York, NY
Want significant but subtle results to address lost facial volume or get a non-surgical butt lift? Sculptra® is a one-of-a-kind dermal filler that slowly increases collagen production to actually increase tissue volume. Dr. Dennis Gross Dermatology is proud to offer Sculptra® injections for patients in Queens, New York City, Brooklyn, and Staten Island.
What Is Sculptra®?
Over time, age can bring about hollowness and volume loss to the jawline, cheeks, and temples. Sculptra® has been specially formulated to address this. It’s essentially an injectable form of lactic acid, poly-L-lactic acid to be more specific, and it works to volumize tissue slowly over time by stimulating the body’s own production of collagen. Sculptra® is the first FDA-approved injectable treatment of its kind for the treatment and restoration of lost facial volume that results from aging or illness.
Where other alternative products such as Restylane® and Juvéderm® are effective at treating deep folds and wrinkles, Sculptra® excels in the creation of the volume and structure that fillers require in order to make a significant difference.
In addition to boosting facial volume, Sculptra® butt injections can be used to achieve a non-invasive Sculptra® butt lift. Sculptra® buttocks treatment involves strategic injections to thicken the skin and stimulate collagen production over a period of months for firmer, more shapely buttocks.
While the results of most dermal fillers only last six to 12 months, Sculptra® results can last for two to five years.
How Much Does Sculptra® Cost in New York, NY?
The cost of Sculptra® in New York depends on many factors including the number of units you need, the number of sessions required to achieve your desired results, and the treatment area. The Sculptra® butt lift cost is generally higher than Sculptra® treatment for lost facial volume, for example. How Are Sculptra® Injections Performed?
The whole Sculptra® injection procedure should take no more than around 20 to 30 minutes to complete, and it's performed in a comfortable office setting. To begin the procedure, your provider will first mark out some precise injection points on the face or buttocks before then applying a topical anesthetic to the area. Unlike how some alternative dermal filler products are injected into the skin with a very fine needle, Sculptra® is injected deeper. At the end of the procedure, the treatment area will be massaged to ensure that the Sculptra® has been distributed evenly.
In order to obtain and maintain optimal results of your Sculptra® treatment, an ongoing series of sessions will be required, each spaced somewhere around two weeks apart. The amount of repeat sessions required will differ from patient to patient and depends on the full degree of your loss of volume. Typically speaking, the majority of patients require somewhere in the region of between two to seven Sculptra® treatments.
Who Is a Good Candidate for Sculptra® Treatment?
For those who have seen volume loss of some kind or hollowed areas around the temples, cheeks or chin, Sculptra® can be ideal. Also, Sculptra® can be used to treat any sagging skin around the knees and restore volume back to the neck and décolletage area. The majority of patients who undergo Sculptra® treatment tend to be those of an older age or those who’ve been affected by significant weight loss. Despite this, however, almost anyone who has experienced a significant loss in volume can make an ideal candidate for Sculptra® treatment.
Sculptra® butt lift candidates typically do not have enough fat to transfer to the buttocks, although any body type can benefit from the results of Sculptra® for a non-invasive butt lift.
How Long Will the Results of Sculptra® Last?
Where other dermal filler products will only last for around a year, Sculptra® can provide patients with results lasting for up to two to three years after they’ve completed their full series of treatments. Once Sculptra® has been injected, it will prompt the formation of new collagen and thereby create longer-lasting results than alternative dermal fillers would be able to.
Once those two to three years have passed though patients will start to see their Sculptra® results fade, so maintenance Sculptra® injections will be required at this point in order to maintain optimal results.
