Restylane® in New York, NY

Want natural-looking but fuller lips? Ready to say goodbye to wrinkles or hollows at the temples and eyes that make you look tired and older than you really are? Dr. Dennis Gross Dermatology is proud to offer Restylane®, a versatile family of facial fillers that can address many common signs of aging. We serve patients in our New York City office from surrounding communities like Staten Island, Brooklyn and Queens, NY.

What Is Restylane®?

In essence, Restylane® is a family of FDA-approved dermal fillers that treat lost facial volume, thin lips, wrinkles, and facial folds. Comprised of hyaluronic acid, Restylane® is used predominantly to restore fullness and volume to aging skin and lift and smooth out fine lines and wrinkles.

Restylane® is a very safe and natural product, totally free from any animal proteins, and it's commonly used for the treatment of glabellar lines – the lines that appear over time between the eyebrows and rise up to the forehead – and the nasolabial folds or smile lines. Lost volume around the temples, under the eyes, or at the midface can also be treated with Restylane®, and it can be used to enhance and shape the lips.

How Much Does Restylane® Cost in New York, NY?

The cost of Restylane® treatment in New York depends on many factors, including the formation of Restylane® and the number of units you need to achieve your goals. At Dr. Dennis Gross Dermatology, we believe in delivering a customized approach to treatment. Contact us to schedule a consultation so we can create a tailored treatment plan and review your individual cost with you.

How Are Restylane® Injections Performed?

The Restylane® injection procedure is a non-invasive, non-surgical procedure, and it's performed in our clinical office by a Restylane® specialist.

During the procedure, Restylane® filler will be strategically injected via a micro needle into the treatment area just above the underlying muscle. Several Restylane® injections may be required during the procedure, either in a traditional sense or as a thread slightly below the surface of the skin. The precise technique will depend on the treatment area and your aesthetic goals.

The entire procedure should take no more than around 15 to 30 minutes. Afterward, you can return to your normal activities, although some swelling and redness may be present and dissipate on its own.

What Are the Different Types of Restylane®?

As a family of hyaluronic acid fillers, Restylane® comes in various forms, with each formulation specially designed to treat specific concerns. Each Restylane® product consists of different thicknesses and particle sizes to smooth out fine lines and wrinkles, restore volume, fill in larger facial folds, or add subtle and natural-looking volume to the lips.

Restylane® Silk: Typically used for the treatment of fine lines around the mouth and adding delicate contouring, it's also commonly used for plumping, enhancing, and adding definition to the lips. Restylane® Silk is the best formulation of Restylane® for lips. Its fine composition also makes it suitable for Restylane® under eyes treatment.

Restylane® Lyft: Restylane® Lyft has been designed for the specific purpose of restoring mid-face contours and reducing the appearance of deeper nasolabial folds, all while providing patients with a natural lifting effect.

Restylane® Refyne: Restylane® Refyne takes advantage of modern XpresHAn technology with a hyaluronic acid gel that features improved flexibility to shift with your face. Restylane® Refyne is best used for treating moderate folds and wrinkles, due in part to the size of its particles.

Restylane® Defyne: A similar formulation to Restylane® Refyne; where Restylane® Defyne differs, however, is its ability to fill in and better treat more severe nasolabial folds, thanks to its cross linked composition.

How Long Will the Results of Restylane® Last?

Results from studies have shown that those who have undergone Restylane® treatment can expect to see their results appearing almost immediately and last for around six months. The results of your treatment can be extended by a year or longer if you return to maintenance treatment within four to five months, however.
