Sclerotherapy
A simple procedure to improve the appearance of the legs by removing clusters of small, thin, veins that lie close to the surface of the skin.
These "spider" veins are injected with a solution that causes them to collapse and fade. Two or more sessions are usually required for optimal results.
- For "spider" veins on legs (thighs, calves, ankles); also small varicose veins
- Anesthesia unnecessary
- Bruising and discoloration, fading in approximately two to four weeks
- Results are permanent, but veins may appear in new areas over time
